Education Coordinator
Part Time- 20-30 hrs/wk

Summary
The Education Coordinator is responsible for representing Mobius Kids to visitors, and the community through the creation and delivery of classes, camps, activities and community events. The Education Coordinator will research for, plan, teach and facilitate age-appropriate interactive classes, camps, and programs. He or she will be responsible for training Mobius Kids Staff, Members and volunteers to help teach classes, events, and camps when necessary. The Education Coordinator will report to the Director and is responsible for working collaboratively with members of the staff, volunteers, community partners, and visiting artists/instructors.
Responsibilities
-Planning, creating and teaching of reoccurring quarterly and school break classes; including take-home materials.
-Coordinate and implement all educational and community events that highlight Mobius Kids' educational mission and goals.
-Work with community contacts on all activities.
-Provide and distribute information for press releases in collaboration with Special Event and Volunteer Coordinator.
-Provide class schedules, class descriptions, and presenters for quarterly newsletter and member communications.
-Schedule community presenters for Saturday events.
-Plan and implement lessons and table top activities for special events in collaboration with Special Event and Volunteer Coordinator.
-Create lists of supplies and material costs as needed for events, camps, classes, and daily operations.
-Oversee creation of promotional Flyers and Web regarding classes and events.
-Work with floor staff to coordinate and successfully execute weekly activities.
-Other responsibilities as required
Qualifications
-Bachelors degree or equal experience
-Early Childhood Development / Some teaching experience
-Basic science knowledge.
-Excellent writing, verbal and interpersonal skills.
-Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
