About Mobius Science Center

Mobius Science Center, scheduled to break ground in 2011, will be one of the premier science exhibits in the Pacific Northwest. It will be located on the north bank of the river in the heart of Spokane.

The $29.5 million Mobius Science Center at Michael P. Anderson Plaza will be home to 56,000 square feet of exhibits, along with a proposed digital theater, labs and classrooms, a café and a store. The center’s exhibits will focus on four priority theme areas, reflecting the region’s natural and technological resources and showcasing the best of science from the Inland Northwest and around the world:

  • Life and the Human Body
  • Energy and Technology
  • The Natural World
  • The Universe and Flight

Through hands-on, interactive experiences and experiential environments, visitors will learn about human inventions and innovations, life processes and life cycles of living things, and more. Visitors will have the opportunity to see and experience the wonders of science – and understand its relevance to their daily lives.
